John de Ruiter Podcast
John de Ruiter is a Canadian author and spiritual leader. He holds weekly meetings from his home base in Edmonton, Alberta, where he established the College of Integrated Philosophy in 2006. John has been offering seminars online and in Alberta since 2020, resulting in conversations with people all over the world. As an innovative voice for spiritual evolution, John de Ruiter teaches that life's meaning can be known and lived through "core-splitting honesty," a concept he discovered in his teens after a profound awakening to foundational levels of existence. Ever since, John’s life and teaching have been informed by that direct knowing. His desire to communicate these ideas led to two books, “The Intelligence of Love: Manifesting Your Being in This World” and “Unveiling Reality.” John’s teachings focus on a willingness to let go of your ego and desires: He draws a distinction between your self and your soul, as well as your mind and your being. When teaching a group, John prefers to interact with audience members one-on-one, rather than addressing a whole crowd. This method results in fascinating and intimate dialogues. In this dialogue John answers questions about his own awakening, what he saw at age 12, how it continued to unfold, and how we too can give form to what we really are. He explains knowing and awakening to something other than your self, what happens to us when awareness is distorted, and how to easily and naturally come out of that distortion into a true way of being.

Questioner: If before we are born we are in a place of absolute peace, and, if after we die we return to a place of absolute peace, what’s the point for us to just go through this life? Wouldn’t it be easier just to kind of skip over this part?

Something this questioner sees in a TV nature program overturns all of his ideas of good and bad, right and wrong, taking him behind the facade created by his core beliefs. In this dialogue, John travels with him through the creation and power of these false structures, the shocking effects of unveiling their illusory reality, and shows him how to build what is real through an unconditional return to the heart.

A questioner asks how to deal with difficult situations in life, such the death of a parent, that can trigger an experience of pain and difficulty. John speaks of death as something that can bring true perspective into our life, of love moving in pain and filling it, turning it into compassion. This is a talk on love, the passing away of veils in death and our real power being openness, allowing for love to fill all of our forms.
